Come to Wright's Mill Farm for a taste of the Christmas tradition of old time New England! We are in Connecticut's quiet corner, about 50 minutes from Hartford, Connecticut, Worcester, Massachusetts, Providence, Rhode Island and New London, Connecticut. We will be happy to assist you in locating a Bed & Breakfast or Hotel nearby, if you would like to make a weekend of it with family, friends, etc.

You may tour our farm in search of that perfect Christmas tree. We have 150,000 to choose from in many varieties of Spruce, Fir and Pine. $25.00 for any tree up to 7', larger trees are priced at $5.00 more per foot.

Visit our Silo Christmas Shop for ornaments and Christmas accessories and let your kids play with the animals. On weekends, take a hayride, enjoy some hot food and bring your Christmas letters for Santa!

If you would like to pre-tag your tree, you may do that any day after Labor Day and return in December to cut it. During the month of October you can combine your tagging expedition with a Pumpkin Hunt Hayride, a visit to the Silo Christmas Shop, and use our Picnic area free with a hayride. Kids play with the animals and roll in the leaves; it makes a great family day in the country!

We also accept orders for Mail Order Trees and Wreaths. Call us today to get your Christmas order in before the rush. (860)774-1455 or fax us at (860) 774-0440.

Your Christmas Tree: An Honored GuestShop

Evergreen trees have always been part of New England, but the idea of the Christmas tree came to us from Germany. Hessian soldiers brought the custom here during the Revolutionary War, and decorated trees in the homes of German immigrant families were noticed and admired in the early 1800's.

When your tree arrives at your house, some simple steps will keep it a safe and happy guest of honor:
Until you are ready to decorate it, keep it as cool as possible- an unheated area is ideal- and set it in a bucket of water.

Get a good, sturdy stand that will hold plenty of water. A little bleach in the water will help control the bacteria.

Place the stand away from radiators, stoves and other sources of heat. In front of a window is usually good.

When you are ready to set it up, re-cut the butt of the truck so it can take up more water.

Top up water in the stand everyday; a well watered tree gives off more fragrance and becomes less of a fire hazard.
